Amelia Island Beaches
Amelia Island has over a dozen miles of exceptional beaches which extend the entire length of the Island along the Atlantic Coast. Two State Parks; one on the southern tip and one on the northern tip of the Island offer a variety of seaside activities such as swimming, sunbathing, hiking and horseback riding on the beach.
The City of Fernandina's Main Beach is the major recreational beach on Amelia Island. The city beach offers sheltered picnic tables, a volleyball court, a fully equipped playground, restrooms, outdoor showers and a boardwalk including gazebos. Lifeguards are on duty here from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
