WTA Women’s Professional Tennis Tour
The Bausch & Lomb Championships is a Premier Women’s Professional tennis tournament, part of the worldwide Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. In 2007, the tournament returns for a 28th consecutive year to the picturesque oceanfront resort of Amelia Island Plantation in Amelia Island, Florida, April 2 – 8.
Each year the tournament features the top players in the game and is one of the most anticipated stops on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour for both players and fans. 2007 promises to be no exception. Playing on green clay, the singles competition includes 56 main draw and 32 qualifying players with a 16 team main draw doubles competition vying for $600,000 in prize money.
